✧ Eighty men from the people of Makkah descended upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions from the mountain of al-Tan‘im at the time of the dawn prayer, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took them as prisoners of war, then he pardoned them, and the Qur'an was revealed: “And it is He who restrained their hands from you and your hands from them in the hollow of Makkah after He had given you victory over them.”
