✧ Abu Bakr was riding behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ between Makkah and Madinah. Abu Bakr used to travel to Syria and was known, while the Prophet ﷺ was not known. They would say: 'O Abu Bakr, who is this youth before you?' He said: 'This one guides me to the way.' When they drew near to Madinah, they halted at the harrah and sent word to the Ansar, who came and said: 'Rise, safe and obeyed.' He said: 'I witnessed the day he entered Madinah, and I never saw a day more beautiful or brighter than the day he entered upon us. And I witnessed the day he died, and I never saw a day more ugly or darker than the day he died ﷺ.'
