✧ Abu Talhah was shooting in front of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of Uhud, and the Prophet ﷺ was behind him shielding himself with him. He was a skilled archer; when he shot, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would raise his person to see where his arrow fell, and Abu Talhah would raise his chest and say: 'May my father and mother be your ransom, O Messenger of Allah, let no arrow strike you; my neck is before your neck.' Abu Talhah would offer himself before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, saying: 'I am strong, O Messenger of Allah, so direct me in your needs and command me with whatever you wish.'
