حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ
أَنَّ أُسَيْدَ بْنَ حُضَيْرٍ، وَعَبَّادَ بْنَ بِشْرٍ كَانَا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي لَيْلَةٍ ظَلْمَاءَ حِنْدِسٍ، فَخَرَجَا مِنْ عِنْدِهِ فَأَضَاءَتْ عَصَا أَحَدِهِمَا، فَجَعَلَا يَمْشِيَانِ فِي ضَوْئِهَا، فَلَمَّا تَفَرَّقَا أَضَاءَتْ عَصَا الْآخَرِ،
Translation

✧ That Usayd b. Ḥuḍayr and ʿAbbād b. Bishr were with the Prophet ﷺ on a dark, pitch-black night. They left him, and the staff of one of them lit up, and they walked in its light. When they parted, the staff of the other lit up.
