حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عَامِرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ
إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أُتِيَ بِقَدَحٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ، قَالَ عَمْرٌو: قُلْتُ لِأَنَسٍ: أَكَانَ يَتَوَضَّأُ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قُلْتُ: فَأَنْتُمْ؟ قَالَ: كُنَّا نُصَلِّي الصَّلَوَاتِ بِوُضُوءٍ وَاحِدٍ، ثُمَّ سَأَلْتُهُ بَعْدُ، فَقَالَ: مَا لَمْ نُحْدِثْ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ was brought a cup of water and performed ablution. Amr said: I said to Anas, "Did he perform ablution for every prayer?" He said, "Yes." I said, "And you?" He said, "We used to pray all the prayers with one ablution." Then I asked him later, and he said, "As long as we had not invalidated it."
