✧ The king of Byzantium sent the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a fur cloak of fine silk, and it was as if I were looking at its sleeves fluttering from their length. The people began to examine it and say: Was this sent down upon you, O Messenger of Allah, from the sky? He said: And what impresses you about it? By the One in Whose hand is my soul, a handkerchief from the handkerchiefs of Sa'd b. Mu'adh in Paradise is better than this. Then he sent it to Ja'far. He said: So Ja'far wore it and then came. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I did not send it to you for you to wear it. He said: Then what should I do with it? He said: Send it to your brother the Negus.
