Translation

✧ Something reached Mus'ab b. al-Zubayr about the chief of the Ansar, and he was concerned about it. Anas b. Malik entered upon him and said to him: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Treat the Ansar well—or he said: with kindness. Accept from the good-doer among them and overlook the wrongdoer among them. So Mus'ab threw himself off his couch, pressed his cheek to the carpet, and said: The command of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is upon the head and the eye. And he left the matter.
