✧ There were seventy young men from the Ansar called the Qurra. He said: They used to be in the mosque, and when evening came they would withdraw to a corner of Madinah, studying and praying. Their families thought they were in the mosque, and the people of the mosque thought they were with their families. When dawn approached, they would fetch fresh water and gather firewood, bring it, and lean it against the room of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ sent them all together, and they were killed on the day of Bi'r Ma'unah. The Prophet ﷺ supplicated against their killers for fifteen days in the dawn prayer.
