حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ أَبِي قُرَّةَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ عَنْ شَرِيكٍ
مَا صَلَّيْتُ وَرَاءَ إِمَامٍ أَخَفَّ صَلَاةً مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَلَا أَتَمَّ، وَإِنْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَيَسْمَعُ بُكَاءَ الصَّبِيِّ فَيُخَفِّفُ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ تُفْتَتَنَ أُمُّهُ
Translation

✧ I have never prayed behind an imam whose prayer was shorter or more complete than that of the Messenger of God ﷺ. Indeed, the Messenger of God ﷺ would hear the crying of a child and would lighten the prayer for fear that his mother would be distressed.
