✧ There was among us a man from the Banu al-Najjar who had recited al-Baqarah and Al 'Imran, and he used to write for the Messenger of God ﷺ. He ran away until he joined the People of the Book. He said: They raised him up and said: 'This one used to write for Muhammad,' and they were impressed by him. It was not long before God broke his neck among them. They dug for him and buried him, but the morning found the earth had cast him out onto its surface. Then they went back and dug for him and buried him, but the morning found the earth had cast him out onto its surface. Then they went back and dug for him and buried him, but the morning found the earth had cast him out onto its surface. So they left him cast out.
