حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الضُّبَعِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

إِنَّ طَيْرَ الْجَنَّةِ كَأَمْثَالِ الْبُخْتِ تَرْعَى فِي شَجَرِ الْجَنَّةِ؛ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ هَذِهِ لَطَيْرٌ نَاعِمَةٌ، فَقَالَ: أَكَلَتُهَا أَنْعَمُ مِنْهَا، قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا، وَإِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ تَكُونَ مِمَّنْ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهَا يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ

Translation

✧ Indeed, the birds of Paradise are like Bactrian camels, grazing in the trees of Paradise. Abu Bakr said: "O Messenger of God, these are indeed tender birds." He said: "Their eaters are more tender than them," and he said it three times. "And I hope that you will be among those who eat from them, O Abu Bakr."
