✧ A man during the time of the Messenger of God ﷺ used to buy and sell, and there was weakness in his intellect—meaning his reason—so his family came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Prophet of God, place a restriction upon so-and-so, for he buys and sells and there is weakness in his intellect. So the Prophet of God ﷺ called him and forbade him from trading. He said: O Prophet of God, I cannot bear to give up trading. So he ﷺ said: If you are not going to abandon trading, then say: 'Here and here, and no deceit.'
