✧ The Ansar came to the Prophet ﷺ with their whole group and said, “How long will we keep drawing from these wells? If only we could go to the Messenger of God ﷺ and he would pray to God for us to cause springs to gush forth for us from these mountains.” So they came with their whole group to the Prophet ﷺ. When he saw them, he said, “Welcome, welcome. A need has brought you to us.” They said, “Indeed, by God, O Messenger of God.” He said, “You will not ask me for anything today but that you will be given it, and I will not ask God for anything but that He will give it to me.” They turned to one another and said, “Do you want this world? Seek the Hereafter.” So they said with their whole group, “O Messenger of God, pray to God to forgive us.” He said, “O God, forgive the Ansar, the children of the Ansar, and the children of the children of the Ansar.” They said, “O Messenger of God, and our children from other than us?” He said, “And the children of the Ansar.” They said, “O Messenger of God, and our freedmen?” He said, “And the freedmen of the Ansar.”
