حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُثَنَّى عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمْ يَخْضِبْ قَطُّ، وَإِنَّمَا كَانَ الْبَيَاضُ فِي مُقَدَّمِ لِحْيَتِهِ، وَفِي الْعَنْفَقَةِ، وَفِي الرَّأْسِ، وَفِي الصُّدْغَيْنِ شَيْئًا لَا يَكَادُ يُرَى، وَإِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ خَضَبَ بِالْحِنَّاءِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ never dyed his hair at all. The whiteness was only at the front of his beard, on the tuft under the lower lip, on the head, and at the temples—so little that it was scarcely visible. Abu Bakr dyed with henna.
