حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

انْطَلَقَ حَارِثَةُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ نَظَّارًا مَا انْطَلَقَ لِلْقِتَالِ، فَأَصَابَهُ سَهْمٌ فَقَتَلَهُ؛ فَجَاءَتْ أُمُّهُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، ابْنِي حَارِثَةُ إِنْ يَكُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَصْبِرْ وَأَحْتَسِبْ، فَقَالَ: يَا أُمَّ حَارِثَةَ، إِنَّهَا جِنَانٌ كَثِيرَةٌ، وَإِنَّ حَارِثَةَ فِي الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَى

Translation

✧ Haritha b. 'Umayr went out as a scout, not for fighting, and an arrow struck him and killed him. His mother came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, my son Haritha: if he is in Paradise, I will be patient and seek reward.' He said, 'O mother of Haritha, there are many gardens, and Haritha is in the highest Firdaws.'
