حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ
أَنَّ أُمَّ أَيْمَنَ بَكَتْ لَمَّا قُبِضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقِيلَ لَهَا: مَا يُبْكِيكِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ؟ فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّي قَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَيَمُوتُ، وَلَكِنْ إِنَّمَا أَبْكِي عَلَى الْوَحْيِ الَّذِي رُفِعَ عَنَّا
Translation

✧ Umm Ayman wept when the Messenger of God ﷺ passed away. It was said to her: “What makes you weep for the Prophet ﷺ?” She said: “I knew that the Prophet ﷺ would die, but I weep only for the revelation that has been lifted from us.”
