حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ سَلْمٍ الْعَلَوِيِّعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ
كَانَ الْقَرْعُ مِنْ أَحَبِّ الطَّعَامِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، - أَوْ: كَانَ الْقَرْعُ يُعْجِبُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، شَكَّ يَزِيدُ - فَأُتِيَ بِقَصْعَةٍ فِيهَا قَرْعٌ، فَرَأَيْتُهُ يُدْخِلُ إِصْبُعَيْهِ فِي الْمَرَقِ يَتَتَبَّعُ بِهِمَا الْقَرْعَ، السَّبَّابَةَ وَالْوُسْطَى، فَرَّقَ بَيْنَهُمَا ثُمَّ ضَمَّهُمَا
Translation

✧ Gourd was among the most beloved of foods to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ — or: Gourd pleased the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Yazid was uncertain — so a bowl containing gourd was brought, and I saw him insert two fingers into the broth, seeking out the gourd with them: the forefinger and the middle finger; he separated them and then joined them.
