✧ The Prophet ﷺ gave al-Aqra' b. Habis one hundred camels from the spoils of Hunayn, and 'Uyayna b. Hisn one hundred camels. Some people among the Ansar said: "Does the Messenger of God ﷺ give our spoils to people whose swords are still dripping with our blood?" When this reached him, he sent for the Ansar and said: "Are there any among you besides yourselves?" They said: "No, except the son of our sister." The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "The son of a people's sister is one of them. Did you say such and such? Are you not satisfied that people go away with the worldly goods while you take Muhammad ﷺ back to your homes?" They said: "Yes, O Messenger of God." He said: "By Him in whose hand is my soul, if people took a valley or a mountain pass, I would take the valley of the Ansar or their mountain pass. The Ansar are my inner circle and my trusted ones. Had it not been for the Hijrah, I would have been a man from the Ansar."
