حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ
أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِقَدَحٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ، فَتَوَضَّأَ. قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ لِأَنَسٍ: أَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَتَوَضَّأُ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: قُلْتُ: فَأَنْتُمْ ؟ قَالَ: كُنَّا نُصَلِّي الصَّلَوَاتِ بِوُضُوءٍ وَاحِدٍ. قَالَ: ثُمَّ سَأَلْتُهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: مَا لَمْ نُحْدِثْ
Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ was brought a vessel of water, and he performed ablution. He said: I said to Anas: “Did the Prophet ﷺ perform ablution for every prayer?” He said: “Yes.” He said: I said: “And you?” He said: “We used to pray the prayers with one ablution.” He said: Then I asked him after that, and he said: “As long as we had not broken it.”
