✧ The Prophet ﷺ gave some of the spoils of Hunayn to 'Uyaynah, al-Aqra', and others. The Ansar said: Does he give our spoils to those whose blood drips from our swords, or whose blood drips from our swords? That reached the Prophet ﷺ, so he called the Ansar and said: O assembly of Ansar, are you not pleased that the people go with this world while you go with Muhammad to your homes? They said: Yes, O Messenger of God. He said: By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, if the people took a valley and the Ansar took a mountain pass, I would take the mountain pass of the Ansar. The Ansar are my inner circle and my trusted ones. Were it not for the emigration, I would have been a man of the Ansar.
