حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ قَالَ
كُنَّا عِنْدَ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، فَدَعَا بِإِنَاءٍ فِيهِ ثَلَاثُ ضَبَّاتٍ حَدِيدٍ، وَحَلْقَةٌ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ، فَأُخْرِجَ مِنْ غِلَافٍ أَسْوَدَ وَهُوَ دُونَ الرُّبُعِ، وَفَوْقَ نِصْفِ الرُّبُعِ، فَأَمَرَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ فَجُعِلَ لَنَا فِيهِ مَاءٌ، فَأُتِينَا بِهِ فَشَرِبْنَا، وَصَبَبْنَا عَلَى رُءُوسِنَا وَوُجُوهِنَا، وَصَلَّيْنَا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ.
Translation

✧ We were with Anas b. Malik, and he called for a vessel that had three iron patches and an iron ring. It was brought out from a black cover, and it was less than a quarter and more than half a quarter. Anas b. Malik ordered that water be put in it for us. It was brought to us, and we drank, and we poured it over our heads and faces, and we prayed for the Prophet ﷺ.
