حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يُحَدِّثُ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَكْتُبَ لِنَاسٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ إِلَى الْبَحْرَيْنِ، فَقَالُوا: لَا، إِلَّا أَنْ تَكْتُبَ لِإِخْوَانِنَا مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ مِثْلَهَا. فَدَعَاهُمْ فَأَبَوْا. قَالَ: أَمَا إِنَّكُمْ سَتَرَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً، فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to write for some people of the Ansar [an allotment] to Bahrain, but they said: 'No, unless you write the like of it for our brothers among the Emigrants.' So he called them, but they refused. He said: 'You will see after me preferential treatment, so be patient until you meet me.'
