حَدَّثَنَا الْمُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

ثَلَاثٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ وَجَدَ بِهِنَّ حَلَاوَةَ الْإِيمَانِ: أَنْ يَكُونَ اللهُ [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] وَرَسُولُهُ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِمَّا سِوَاهُمَا، وَأَنْ يَكْرَهَ الْعَبْدُ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ عَنِ الْإِسْلَامِ كَمَا يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يُقْذَفَ فِي النَّارِ، وَأَنْ يُحِبَّ الْعَبْدُ الْعَبْدَ لَا يُحِبُّهُ إِلَّا لِلهِ [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ]

Translation

  2. Ḥammād b. Salamah
  3. Thābit
  4. Anas

✧ Three things, whoever has them finds the sweetness of faith: that Allah [Mighty and Majestic] and His Messenger are dearer to him than anything else, that a servant hates to return to disbelief just as he hates to be thrown into the Fire, and that a servant loves another servant only for the sake of Allah [Mighty and Majestic].
