Musnad Ahmad 12738

Translation

✧ When the Messenger of God ﷺ wanted to write to some of these non-Arabs, it was said to him, 'They will not accept a letter unless it has a seal.' He said: So he acquired a silver ring whose inscription—and Ibn Bakr said: and its inscription—was 'Muhammad, Messenger of God.' It is as if I can see its glint or whiteness on the hand of the Messenger of God ﷺ.
