Musnad Ahmad 12720

Translation

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to write to the Byzantines, they said: They do not read a letter unless it is sealed. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ acquired a silver signet ring. It is as if I can see its whiteness in the hand of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ; its inscription was: Muhammad, Messenger of Allah.
