✧ He was ten years old when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to Madinah. He said: My mothers kept urging me to serve the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so I was the most knowledgeable of people about the matter of the veil when it was revealed. The first part of it was revealed when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ consummated his marriage with Zaynab bt. Jahsh. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ became a bridegroom with her, invited the people, and they ate the food, then departed. A group of them remained with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and prolonged their stay. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up and went out, and I went out with him so that they would leave. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ walked, and we walked with him until he reached the threshold of Aisha's chamber. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ thought they had left, so he returned, and I returned with him, and indeed they had left. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ drew a curtain between himself and them, and Allah, Mighty and Majestic, revealed the veil.
