حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ
دَعَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِيَكْتُبَ لَنَا بِالْبَحْرَيْنِ قَطِيعَةً، قَالَ: فَقُلْنَا: لَا، إِلَّا أَنْ تَكْتُبَ لِإِخْوَانِنَا مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ مِثْلَهَا، فَقَالَ: إِنَّكُمْ سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً، فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي، قَالُوا: فَإِنَّا نَصْبِرُ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ invited us to write to him from Bahrain. We said, "Only if you write the same for our brothers from the Muhajireen." He said, "Indeed, you will meet hardships after me, so be patient until you meet me." They said, "Indeed, we will be patient."
