✧ A group from 'Ukl and 'Uraynah spoke of Islam, so they came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and told him they were people of livestock and not people of settled cultivation, and they complained of the fever of Madinah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered for them a small herd and ordered a shepherd for them, and commanded them to leave Madinah and drink from the milk and urine of the camels. They departed and were in the area of the Harrah, then they disbelieved after their Islam, killed the shepherd of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and drove away the herd. That reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so he sent pursuers after them. They were brought, and he gouged out their eyes, cut off their hands and feet, and left them in the area of the Harrah biting its stones until they died. Qatadah said: It reached us that this verse was revealed concerning them: 'The recompense of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger' (5:33).
