✧ It was said to the Prophet ﷺ, "If only you would go to Abdullah b. Ubayy." So the Messenger of God ﷺ set out, riding a donkey, and the Muslims set out walking, and it was salty ground. When the Prophet ﷺ went to him, he said, "Keep away from me, for by God, the smell of your donkey has offended me." A man from the Ansar said, "By God, the donkey of the Messenger of God ﷺ has a better smell than you." He said, "A man from his people became angry on behalf of Abdullah." He said, "And the companions of each of them became angry." He said, "And there was striking among them with palm branches, hands, and sandals. It reached us that the verse was revealed about them: 'And if two parties of the believers fight, make peace between them.'"
