✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ entrusted a man to Hafsah bint Umar and said to her: 'Guard him.' She said: 'Hafsah became heedless, and the man went away.' The Messenger of God ﷺ entered and said: 'O Hafsah, what happened to the man?' She said: 'I was heedless of him, O Messenger of God.' He went out, and the Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'May God cut off your hand.' She raised her hands like this. The Messenger of God ﷺ entered and said: 'What is the matter with you, O Hafsah?' She said: 'O Messenger of God, you said to me before: such and such.' He said to her: 'Put down your hands, for I asked God, Mighty and Majestic, that for any person of my community against whom I call upon God, He make it a forgiveness for him.'
