✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be pleased by good dreams, and perhaps he would say: 'Did any of you see a dream?' If a man saw a dream, he would ask about him. If he was a man of no harm, his dream was even more pleasing to him. He said: A woman came and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I saw as if I entered Paradise and heard a sound by which Paradise trembled. I looked and saw that so-and-so the son of so-and-so and so-and-so the son of so-and-so had been brought,' until she counted twelve men, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had sent out a raiding party before that. She said: 'They were brought wearing dark clothes, their jugular veins gushing blood.' He said: 'It was said: Take them to the river of al-Sadhakh,' or he said: 'to the river of al-Baydah.' He said: 'They were dipped into it and came out with faces like the moon on the night of the full moon.' He said: 'Then chairs of gold were brought and they sat on them, and a platter—or a word like it—was brought containing unripe dates, and they ate from it. They would not turn it to any side except that they ate whatever fruit they desired. And I ate with them.' He said: Then the bearer of good news from that raiding party came and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, our affair was such-and-such, and so-and-so and so-and-so were struck down,' until he counted the twelve whom the woman had counted. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Bring the woman to me.' She came, and he said: 'Tell this one your dream.' She told it, and he said: 'It is as she said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.'
