حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُغِيرُ عِنْدَ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ فَيَتَسَمَّعُ، فَإِنْ سَمِعَ أَذَانًا أَمْسَكَ وَإِلَّا أَغَارَ، قَالَ: فَتَسَمَّعَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ قَالَ: فَسَمِعَ رَجُلًا، يَقُولُ: اللهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللهُ أَكْبَرُ، فَقَالَ: عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ، فَقَالَ: أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، فَقَالَ: خَرَجْتَ مِنَ النَّارِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to raid at the time of the dawn prayer and listen. If he heard the call to prayer, he would hold back; otherwise he would raid. He said: One day he listened, and he heard a man saying: Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar. He said: Upon the fitrah. Then he said: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah. He said: You have emerged from the Fire.
