حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يُحَدِّثُ

يَقُولُ اللهُ [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] لِأَهْوَنِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ عَذَابًا: لَوْ أَنَّ لَكَ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ كُنْتَ تَفْتَدِي بِهِ ؟ فَيَقُولُ: نَعَمْ، فَيَقُولُ: قَدْ أَرَدْتُ مِنْكَ مَا هُوَ أَهْوَنُ مِنْ هَذَا وَأَنْتَ فِي صُلْبِ آدَمَ: أَنْ لَا تُشْرِكَ بِي، فَأَبَيْتَ إِلَّا أَنْ تُشْرِكَ بِي

Translation

✧ Allah (Mighty and Majestic) will say to the one with the least punishment among the people of the Fire: “If you had everything on earth, would you ransom yourself with it?” He will say: “Yes.” He will say: “I wanted from you something easier than this while you were in the loins of Adam: that you should not associate anything with Me, but you refused except to associate partners with Me.”
