حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي صَدَقَةَ مَوْلَى أَنَسٍ قَالَ

سَأَلْتُ أَنَسًا، عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: كَانَ يُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ إِذَا زَالَتِ الشَّمْسُ، وَالْعَصْرَ بَيْنَ صَلَاتَيْكُمْ هَاتَيْنِ، وَالْمَغْرِبَ إِذَا غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ، وَالْعِشَاءَ إِذَا غَابَ الشَّفَقُ، وَالصُّبْحَ إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ إِلَى أَنْ يَنْفَسِحَ الْبَصَرُ

Translation

✧ I asked Anas about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: “He used to pray Zuhr when the sun declined, Asr between these two prayers of yours, Maghrib when the sun set, Isha when the twilight disappeared, and Subh when dawn broke until the eyesight spread.”
