✧ When the Messenger of God ﷺ migrated, the Messenger of God ﷺ was riding and Abū Bakr was his riding companion. Abū Bakr was recognized on the road because of his frequent travels to Syria. He would pass by people and they would say, "Who is this in front of you, O Abū Bakr?" He would say, "A guide who guides me." When they drew near Madinah, he sent to the people of the Anṣār who had accepted Islam, to Abū Umāmah and his companions, and they went out to meet them. They said, "Enter in safety and obedience." So they entered. Anas said: I never saw a day brighter or better than the day the Messenger of God ﷺ and Abū Bakr entered Madinah. And I witnessed his passing, and I never saw a day darker or worse than the day on which the Messenger of God ﷺ died.
