حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ

إِنْ تَقَرَّبَ عَبْدِي مِنِّي شِبْرًا تَقَرَّبْتُ مِنْهُ ذِرَاعًا، وَإِنْ تَقَرَّبَ مِنِّي ذِرَاعًا تَقَرَّبْتُ مِنْهُ بَاعًا، وَإِنْ أَتَانِي مَاشِيًا أَتَيْتُهُ هَرْوَلَةً

Translation

✧ If My servant draws near to Me a handspan, I draw near to him a cubit; and if he draws near to Me a cubit, I draw near to him a fathom; and if he comes to Me walking, I come to him running.
