حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ وَابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ الْمَعْنَى عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ سَأَلَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَرَى فِي مَنَامِهَا مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: مَنْ رَأَتْ ذَلِكَ مِنْكُنَّ، فَأَنْزَلَتْ، فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ، قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ: أَوَيَكُونُ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، مَاءُ الرَّجُلِ غَلِيظٌ أَبْيَضُ، وَمَاءُ الْمَرْأَةِ أَصْفَرُ رَقِيقٌ، فَأَيُّهُمَا سَبَقَ - أَوْ عَلَا - أَشْبَهَهُ الْوَلَدُ

✧ Umm Sulaym asked the Prophet ﷺ about a woman who sees in her dream what a man sees. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever among you sees that and then has a discharge should perform a full bath.' Umm Salamah said: 'Does that happen, O Messenger of God?' He said: 'Yes. The fluid of the man is thick and white, and the fluid of the woman is thin and yellow. Whichever of them comes first—or prevails—the child resembles it.'
