حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ
دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ خَرِبًا لِبَنِي النَّجَّارِ، وَكَانَ يَقْضِي فِيهَا حَاجَةً، فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا مَذْعُورًا أَوْ فَزِعًا، وَقَالَ: لَوْلَا أَنْ لَا تَدَافَنُوا لَسَأَلْتُ اللهَ [تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى] أَنْ يُسْمِعَكُمْ مِنْ عَذَابِ أَهْلِ الْقُبُورِ مَا أَسْمَعَنِي
Translation
Chain of narrators
- Sufyān
✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered a ruin belonging to Banū al-Najjār, and he used to relieve himself there. Then he came out to us alarmed, or frightened, and said: 'Were it not that you would not bury one another, I would have asked Allah [Blessed and Exalted] to make you hear from the torment of the people of the graves what He made me hear.'
