Translation

✧ I was playing with the boys when the Messenger of God ﷺ came to us and greeted us — Yazīd said in his narration: “upon us” — and he took me by the hand and sent me on an errand. He sat in the shade of a wall or enclosure until I returned to him and conveyed the message he had sent me with. When I came to Umm Sulaym, she said: “What kept you?” I said: “The Prophet ﷺ sent me on an errand for him.” She said: “What was it?” I said: “It is a secret.” She said: “Keep the Messenger of God’s ﷺ secret.” He said: “I never told it to anyone after that.”
