حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

رَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَجُلًا يُهَادَى بَيْنَ ابْنَيْهِ، قَالَ: مَا هَذَا ؟ قَالُوا: نَذَرَ أَنْ يَمْشِيَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: إِنَّ اللهَ [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] لَغَنِيٌّ أَنْ يُعَذِّبَ هَذَا نَفْسَهُ، فَأَمَرَهُ فَرَكِبَ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ saw a man being supported between his two sons. He said: What is this? They said: He vowed to walk. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: God [Mighty and Majestic] is too self-sufficient to have this man punish himself. So he ordered him, and he rode.
