حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ

ثَلَاثٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ وَجَدَ بِهِنَّ حَلَاوَةَ الْإِيمَانِ: أَنْ يَكُونَ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِمَّا سِوَاهُمَا، وَأَنْ يُحِبَّ الْمَرْءَ لَا يُحِبُّهُ إِلَّا لِلهِ، وَأَنْ يَكْرَهَ أَنْ يَعُودَ فِي الْكُفْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أَنْقَذَهُ اللهُ مِنْهُ، كَمَا يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يُوقَدَ لَهُ نَارٌ فَيُقْذَفَ فِيهَا

Translation

  5. al-Nabī ﷺ

✧ There are three qualities: whoever possesses them will find the sweetness of faith through them: that Allah and His Messenger be dearer to him than anything besides them; that he love a person only for the sake of Allah; and that he hate to return to disbelief after Allah has saved him from it, just as he would hate to have a fire kindled for him and then be thrown into it.
