حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كُسِرَتْ رَبَاعِيَتُهُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، وَشُجَّ فِي جَبْهَتِهِ حَتَّى سَالَ الدَّمُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ، فَقَالَ: كَيْفَ يُفْلِحُ قَوْمٌ فَعَلُوا هَذَا بِنَبِيِّهِمْ وَهُوَ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ ؟ فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ: لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ
Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ had his front tooth broken on the day of Uhud, and his forehead was wounded until blood ran down his face. He said, 'How can a people prosper who did this to their Prophet while he calls them to their Lord?' Then this verse was revealed: 'Not for you is the decision whether He turns to them or punishes them, for they are wrongdoers.'
