حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَالِمٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي حَفْصَةَ وَالْأَعْمَشُ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صُهْبَانَ وَكَثِيرٌ النَّوَّاءُ وَابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ

إِنَّ أَهْلَ الدَّرَجَاتِ الْعُلَى لَيَرَاهُمْ مَنْ تَحْتَهُمْ كَمَا تَرَوْنَ النَّجْمَ الطَّالِعَ فِي أُفُقٍ مِنْ آفَاقِ السَّمَاءِ، أَلَا وَإِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَأَنْعَمَا

✧ Indeed, the people of the highest degrees are seen by those below them as you see the rising star in a horizon of the horizons of the sky. Verily, Abu Bakr and Umar are among them and are blessed.
