قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ وَجَدْتُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فِي كِتَابِ أبي بِخَطِّ يَدِهِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمُتَعَالِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُجَالِدٌ عَنْ أَبِي الْوَدَّاكِ قَالَ قَالَ لِي أَبُو سَعِيدٍ هَلْ يُقِرُّ الْخَوَارِجُ بِالدَّجَّالِ؟ فَقُلْتُ لَا فَقَالَ

قَالَ لِي أَبُو سَعِيدٍ: هَلْ يُقِرُّ الْخَوَارِجُ بِالدَّجَّالِ ؟ فَقُلْتُ: لَا، فَقَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: إِنِّي خَاتَمُ أَلْفِ نَبِيٍّ أَوْ أَكْثَرُ، وَمَا بُعِثَ نَبِيٌّ يُتَّبَعُ إِلَّا قَدْ حَذَّرَ أُمَّتَهُ الدَّجَّالَ، وَإِنِّي قَدْ بُيِّنَ لِي مِنْ أَمْرِهِ مَا لَمْ يُبَيَّنْ لِأَحَدٍ، وَإِنَّهُ أَعْوَرُ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ، وَعَيْنُهُ الْيُمْنَى عَوْرَاءُ جَاحِظَةٌ، وَلَا تَخْفَى كَأَنَّهَا نُخَامَةٌ فِي حَائِطٍ مُجَصَّصٍ، وَعَيْنُهُ الْيُسْرَى كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّيٌّ، مَعَهُ مِنْ كُلِّ لِسَانٍ، وَمَعَهُ صُورَةُ الْجَنَّةِ خَضْرَاءُ يَجْرِي فِيهَا الْمَاءُ وَصُورَةُ النَّارِ سَوْدَاءُ تَدْخُنُ

✧ Abū Saʿīd said to me: “Do the Khawarij affirm the Dajjal?” I said: “No.” He said: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘I am the seal of a thousand prophets or more, and no prophet was sent who was followed but that he warned his ummah against the Dajjal. Indeed, his affair has been made clear to me as it was not made clear to anyone. He is one-eyed, and your Lord is not one-eyed. His right eye is defective and protruding; it cannot be hidden, as though it were a piece of spittle on a plastered wall. His left eye is as though it were a brilliant star. With him are speakers of every tongue, and with him is an image of Paradise, green with water flowing through it, and an image of the Fire, black and smoking.’”
