حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ
لَا يَحْقِرَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ نَفْسَهُ أَنْ يَرَى أَمْرًا لِلهِ فِيهِ مَقَالًا فَلَا يَقُولُ فِيهِ، فَيُقَالُ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ: مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَكُونَ قُلْتَ فِي كَذَا وَكَذَا ؟ فَيَقُولُ: مَخَافَةُ النَّاسِ فَيَقُولُ: إِيَّايَ أَحَقُّ أَنْ تَخَافَ

✧ Let none of you belittle himself such that he sees a matter concerning God in which something should be said but does not say it, and it will be said to him on the Day of Resurrection: 'What prevented you from speaking about such-and-such?' He will say: 'Fear of people.' He will say: 'I am more worthy of your fear.'
