حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ

لَا أَشْرَبُ نَبِيذًا بَعْدَ مَا سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ قَالَ: جِيءَ بِرَجُلٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: قَالُوا: إِنَّهُ نَشْوَانُ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّمَا شَرِبْتُ زَبِيبًا وَتَمْرًا فِي دُبَّاءَةٍ، قَالَ: فَخُفِقَ بِالنِّعَالِ وَنُهِزَ بِالْأَيْدِي. وَنَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالزَّبِيبِ وَالتَّمْرِ أَنْ يُخْلَطَا

Translation

✧ I will not drink nabidh after I heard Abu Sa'id al-Khudri say: A man was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. They said, "He is intoxicated." He said, "I only drank raisin and date (nabidh) in a gourd." He said: So he was beaten with sandals and punched with hands. And he forbade gourds, raisins and dates to be mixed.
