✧ Some of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ came to an Arab tribe, and they did not offer them hospitality. While they were in that state, the chief of those people was stung, and they said, 'Do you have any remedy or anyone who can recite over him?' They said, 'You did not offer us hospitality, and we will not do so until you assign us a reward.' So they set aside for them a flock of sheep. He began to recite the Opening of the Book, gathered his saliva, and spit. The man was cured, and they brought the sheep, but they said, 'We will not take them until we ask the Messenger of God ﷺ about them.' They asked the Prophet ﷺ, and he laughed and said, 'How did you know it was a ruqya? Take them and assign a share for me.'
