  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationMālik b. Anas narrates it from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Abī Ṣaʿṣaʿah, and there is disagreement about it from him. Al-Qaʿnabī, Maʿn, Abū Muṣʿab and the other transmitters of the Muwaṭṭaʾ narrated it from Mālik, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Abī Ṣaʿṣaʿah, from his father, from Abū Saʿīd. They also differed regarding Mālik about the name of Ibn Abī Ṣaʿṣaʿah; the correct statement is that of Abū Maʿmar al-Quṭaʿī from Ismāʿīl b. Jaʿfar, and it is the right one.
