حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْأَغَرِّ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ أَشْهَدُ عَلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
أَنَّهُمَا شَهِدَا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: إِنَّ اللهَ يُمْهِلُ، حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ هَبَطَ، فَيَقُولُ: هَلْ مِنْ سَائِلٍ فَيُعْطَى ؟ هَلْ مِنْ مُسْتَغْفِرٍ مِنْ ذَنْبٍ ؟ هَلْ مِنْ دَاعٍ فَيُسْتَجَابَ لَهُ ؟

✧ They both testified that the Prophet ﷺ said: God grants respite until, when a third of the night has passed, He descends and says: Is there anyone asking that he may be given? Is there anyone seeking forgiveness for a sin? Is there anyone supplicating that he may be answered?
