machine translationAbū Isḥāq al-Sabīʿī narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Ibn al-Mubārak narrated it from al-Thawrī, from Abū Isḥāq, from al-Aghar, from the two of them (Abū Hurayrah and Abū Saʿīd) as a statement stopping at them (mawqūf), while ʿAbd al-Razzāq raised it (marfūʿ) from al-Thawrī. Ḥamzah al-Zayyāt and Abū Maryam ʿAbd al-Ghaffār b. al-Qāsim b. Qays b. Qahd said likewise from Abū Isḥāq, and its raising is sound (ṣaḥīḥ). Isrāʾīl said, from Abū Isḥāq, from Abū Hurayrah and Abū Saʿīd, that they both raised it, and he did not mention al-Aghar.
